HOW IT WORKS?
Explore the seamless testing process of our Portable Test Equipment (PTE). Each step is designed for simplicity, efficiency, and comprehensive analysis.
1.
Input Traceability
-
Operator uses the touchpad display to start a test sequence.
-
Required traceability information includes AMEPOWER Serial Number, Test Date, Installed Car/Truck, and Installed Inverter.
2.
Measure Current
-
The PTE evaluates power resistors and PCB traces by utilizing the current from the gate driver power supply.
-
Specifically tests the status of power resistors, PCB traces on the GDU, status of fiber optic circuit on GDU, and digital signal interface..
3.
Monitor Digital
Signal Interface
-
Digital signal interface is monitored to check for malfunctions, proper operation of the gate turn-off circuit, and the correct functioning of the transformer on the gate driver.
4.
Measure Output
Voltage Peaks
-
Measures current from the IGBTs, gate driver, or power supply to identify abnormal output voltage peaks that may signal a degrading supply.
5.
View Test Results
-
Operator can easily view information from the most recent tests on the front panel's Test History page.

PTE TESTING
The PTE autonomously performs component and parameter diagnostic checks to verify the proper operation of the signal interfaces. Some of these checks include digital and analog signal integrity, shorting, and GDU power supply integrity.
What does it test?
-
Power resistors and PCB traces on the GDU
-
Fiber Optic circuit on GDU
-
Digital Signal Interface (DSI)
Information Storage and Sharing:
-
Test record information is stored on the tester.
-
View the most recent 100 tests directly on the device interface.
-
Access all other records by connecting to the ethernet port and navigating to the provided domain.
PTE SAFETY
-
IP65 RATED: When closed and latched): Protects against dust and water ingress, ensuring safe operation in various environments.
-
Safety Contractors: Prevent runoff currents and minimizes the risk of electrical hazard.
-
Fully Isolated PTE Circuit: Offers additional protection for the equipment being tested.
PTE BENEFITS
-
Reliability: Identify issues with modules before they become severe or affect service.
-
Minimize Downtime & Shipping Costs: Isolate and remove problem modules without dismounting and inspecting each module.
-
Improved Warranty Turnaround Times: Provide diagnostic information when filing a warranty claim for advanced notice of issues.
-
Traceability: Onboard memory retains test record information for up to 2000 test sequences with a web browser interface for inputting warranty claim information.
